  • Abstract
Mobile Phones have brought the world to your fingertips and promise a revolution in communication. In Mobile Phones, the sharing of text became a successful service that is done through Short Message Service (SMS). SMS is a component of mobile communication system. The disadvantage in SMS Communication is that, larger content can be sent only as multiple messages and it in not disclosed to third party. In this paper, we have proposed a method “ComEn” to compress and encrypt the SMS Communication in Mobile Phones. The outcome of this paper may bring a new social impact to the development of large content in SMS messaging. The implementation is done using Java 2 Micro Edition, Qt SDK for Symbian S60 and it is tested by Nokia Remote Device Access (RDA).
