Abstract :
Huge number of testing data are needed to be handled in the bridge condition assessment. If there is not a good handled and archived method, these testing data will be omitted or lost since these testing data are extremely bulky. Database technology is adopted to deal with testing data in the bridge condition assessment. 84 data tables, 184 stored procedures and 12 data cubes have been carried out in the bridge condition assessment database to meet the requirements of the testing data. Based on the Dotnet2.0 framework platform, the Bridge Inspection Rating Maintenance and Management System is developed by employing object-oriented programming technology. Meanwhile, data mining and data analyzing function as online data processing offered by database technology have also been used to aid the decision making of assessment. The system has already been successfully applied to the management of three long-span bridges of one certain expressway in Chongqing, China. Therefore, this can guarantee the three bridges serve the traffic effectively and safely.
