Abstract :
Traveling speed of vehicle has a very important effect on the occurrence of road traffic accidents and the harmfulness of the accidents. The speed display error and its distributive regularity would be researched in depth. Based on the combination of speedometer test-bed measurement and statistical analysis, the speed display error and its distributive regularity of given type passenger cars have been revealed. The research discovers that the error obey normal distribution, which parameters and are 38.553 0 km/h and 2.744 0 km2/h2 respectively, and establishes corresponding distributive models. Simulative calculating shows that the model calculating results are consistent with the sample measuring data, and the model simulative calculating error is only 0.68%. The research has a very important effect on understanding the statistical regularity of speed display error, pledging the vehicle traveling safety and improving speedometer design and manufacture.
