Abstract :
Electronic system for measuring the initial velocity of a ball (dummy shell) when it goes out into the atmosphere as well as for setting the certain preselected time and start-up of a photographic camera (video camera) to photograph a ball in its trajectory for the purpose of its coordinates´ determination have been described in the article. The system includes the optical pair (the emitter and the photodetector of infrared radiation), the synchronizer with the radio-frequency pulse (1 megahertz) generator and counter as well as the timer for serial photographing with the interval of 0.5 sec. The system can measure the velocity of a ball (dummy shell) with the travel velocity of 30 m/sec and the error not exceeding 0.3%.
