The 2008–2010 e-learning experience of the Public Health Virtual Campus at the University of Guadalajara, Mexico

By 2007 the Pan American Health Organization set up an initiative to establish a Public Health Virtual Campus based on open, free, and unlimited access to public health information and courses, in order to reach all the health providers of the Americas region. In Mexico this initiative was well received and a group of Health Institutions accepted the call and started the activities aimed at increasing the health human resources formation. This paper presents the vision and results in Mexico three years from its beginning.
