  • Abstract
This paper examines the obesity and overweight problem in our society. This problem has reached epidemic proportions globally and is nowadays under study by most of developed countries. All solutions proposed are based on educating people to make them more conscious about the importance of a good nutrition plan. However, passive learning techniques performed and used until now have not been useful enough. Instead of this, with an active learning, where people participate in their own learning, it may achieve better results to improve nutritional habits in our society. In this project, we have purposed a solution to the global nutritional problem, offering an active learning by using ICT. By following a booming concept such as Serious-Games, which main purpose is the learning over the pure entertainment, we have done a platform of these games in order to give a nutritional education to every population segments in an easy and entertaining way. The project prototype has been presented in different environments and it has received positive feedback.
