Abstract :
Over the last few years there have been a plethora of applications suites based on the ongoing social web phenomenon and the organizations are formally or informally integrating the web based technology within their workflows. In doing so some key issues are becoming apparent, both in terms of identifying and integrating these non-conventional technologies. One of the most prominent is the ability to assess the value of social technology for organizational productivity. This business transformation is not restricted to one sector or industry but affects the whole global market. Therefore, the assessment has to consider that the limitation of this technology is not restricted to the company but to the access to the knowledge required to get the task done. In this paper, as part of the ongoing research, an approach is presented to estimate organizational impact of collaborative technologies basing upon knowledge interrelations both at process and at their asset level.
