Abstract
The paper describes the research one an alternative to the introduction of networked computer in the school routine. The research fits into the field of “classrooms of the future” or ”future learning spaces”. The problem that generated the research was the perception of a paradox between theories and practices of innovation of the fields of education and ITC. This reduces the issue of computerization school as installation of instructional labs or the assumption that students have the equipment, especially laptops. The Revoluti Room™ was designed as a low-cost proposal to contribute to overcome this paradox and was conceived as a possibility for a ”new class” where teachers and students interact, simultaneously, in the traditional (”real”, face-to-face) and the new one (”virtual”, on-line) environment.
