Abstract :
The energy sector currently faces challenges in carbon dioxide reduction, energy efficiency, new forms of energy production and distribution which includes energy supply by former energy consumers. E-mobility is another interesting part of the game. New driver systems, battery, billing, and smart grid technologies are setting the stage for tomorrow´s Electric Ecosystem. This paper highlights on the one hand the business model for specified stakeholders in the energy market and on the other hand the adoption of state-of-the art ICT solutions. An essential part of this paper focuses on business models, which are based on the results of the ongoing project COIN, which aims at cross-organizational business collaboration and interoperability and is funded by the European Community.
