Abstract
The focus of this work is the construction of a bandpass filter fully electronically tunable in bandwidth and center frequency by combining modified combline and split ring resonator structures loaded by varactor diodes. It is shown how separate tuning of the assembled varactors can be used to significantly alter filter bandwidths. A design with large tuning range from 800 to 1300 MHz in combination with moderate insertion loss is presented.
