  • Abstract
The development of circulatory assist devices, especially of its high level control, and the training of the medical operators using the devices often involve "in vitro" experiments. This would require a very detailed cardiovascular model. A numerical simulation approach could be use. On the contrary, a mock circulation bench does not permit a detailed description. Therefore, we propose an hybrid solution where the real prosthesis interacts with a virtual cardiovascular system numerically simulated. A prototype of the solution has been realized and the first applications are planned.
