Abstract
The incorporation of temporal data into neural network models has received little attention. This is a complex problem whose solution depends on the ultimate usage of the temporal data. We analyze the different types of temporal data used in medical decision making, and then illustrate how these can be incorporated into a neural network structure developed by the authors.
