Abstract :
We describe the functional requirements and systems architecture underlying the design of a complete, integrated clinical neurophysiology laboratory based upon a network of UNIX workstations. A common platform provides functions including long-term EEG for epilepsy surgery, routine EEG, intensive-care monitoring, and operating room monitoring. The system provides data acquisition, interactive graphics, and digital archiving as well as scheduling and database functions.
