Abstract
Different linear accelerator techniques for stereotactic radiosurgery are used or developed in several radiation therapy centres. All these techniques need accurate localization of target volume and visualization of isodose distribution. We have developed a new method for MRI and CT stereotaxic localization and, using a computer assisted system, we have developed treatment planning software for stereotactic neurosurgery and multibeam radiotherapy. This software permits more rapid dosimetry, directly plotted on patient images, with precision and safety.
