  • Abstract
Electrical response of tissue to different stimuli can be modeled using finite element analysis. Our model of electrical response beneath a circular electrode, modeled with commercial software, agrees with predicted theory as well as results obtained by other researchers. This is an encouraging result as finite element models can be created and analyzed quickly and more efficientlywith commercial packages than with "in house" computer programs.
