  • Abstract
The locus of excitation when stimulating the human peripheral or central nervous system with a magnetic coil [MC] is not precisely known. Recent studies using mammalian peripheral nerves in-vitro suggest certain concepts which may also govern MC stimulation in-vivo. In general, experimental observations support theoretical predictions. At this writing, the following results and conclusions reflect a converging consensus in our laboratory.
