Abstract :
The paper discusses the optimum size of a piezoceramic flexure element used in a vibro-tactile array producing mechanical vibrations against the skin. The critical characteristics of the piezoceramic element are investigated and an electro-mechanical model given. The results provide a first evaluation of the pieaoceramic bender to replace the electromechanical transducer.
