Abstract :
One problem of test battery design in occupational health and safety has been the absence of a unifying theoretical framework for the selection of tests. Consequently, systematic interpretation of observed deficits has been impeded. A computer aided battery of tests based on a model of human information processing was designed. Together, the tests provide a comprehensive and integrated evaluation of sensory, motor and cognitive performance. The tests, their relationship to the model on which they are based and the purpose-specific hardware and software designed to run the tests are detailed.
