Abstract :
A node-based Boundary Element Method (BEM) is proposed to calculate the continuous variation of the potentials over torso boundaries. Comparisons between the results of the node-based method with those of the traditional triangle-based BEM for a homogeneous sphere and realistic torso show that this node-based method gives the same degree of accuracy as the triangle-based method. The smaller matrix dimension for the node-based method results in a significant reduction in computer time.
