Abstract
Ontology modeling techniques are gaining a lot of focus due to the rapid technological development including the emergence of semantic web technology. The idea behind semantic Web is to create a web of data that can easily be shared, accessed and even transformed over a global scale independently of any application or domain. In order to integrate data into the Semantic Web, the associated database schemas should be translated into equivalent ontologies. Different ontological languages were proposed to achieve the goals of semantic web and in our study we use the OWL language. In this paper we present the mapping rules from ORM2 conceptual modeling technique to OWL2 language.
