Abstract :
This paper firstly elaborates the video transmission quality evaluation methods, and gives an overall scheme of video transmission simulation and quality evaluation system, then based on the open-source network simulation software NS-2, realizing the the entire system, finally, simulation experiments are provided to demonstrate the feasibility of the system, the result shows that the video transmission and quality evaluation system we designed can evaluate the multimedia transmission performance over complex environment very well, and it can be a powerful tool in multimedia transmission research.
