Abstract :
New design of a monopole antenna with slotted and parasitic structure for multi operating bands of wireless communication systems is presented. The proposed antenna, which occupies a small size of 45(L)×28(W) × 1.6(H) mm3, has triple-band (2.16-2.75 GHz, 3.51-3.8 GHz, and 5.0-6.5 GHz) for covering all the WiMAX bands and WLAN bands. Details of the proposed antenna design are described and the effects of design parameters on antenna performance are investigated. The measured results are also presented.
