Abstract :
To clarify the operation principle of the self-injection locked NRD guide Gunn oscillator, we investigated its equivalent circuit model in this paper. At first, a ceramic resonator for self-injection locking was represented by a parallel resonant circuit and it was side-coupled to the NRD guide at a point apart from the Gunn diode. By using this circuit model, a stability factor of the Gunn oscillator was calculated, and the validity of the circuit model was confirmed.
