Abstract :
A low phase-noise 35GHz frequency synthesizer is presented in this paper. A 100MHz crystal oscillator with phase-noise of -155dBc/Hz at 1KHz offset is used to be the reference. A step recovery diode (SRD) frequency multiplier and a phase lock loop (PLL) are used to achieve better phase-noise. The phase-noise of 35GHz at 1KHz offset is -94.6dBc/Hz.
