Abstract :
The terahertz (THz) region of the electromagnetic spectrum, spanning from 100 GHz through 10 THz, become more and more import for a wide range scientific, military and commercial applications day by day. This paper presents a design of novel waveguide to suspended microstrip probe transition at terahertz atmospheric window 220GHz using sector step impedance matching circuit by Advanced Design System (ADS) and High Frequency Simulation System (HFSS). Simulation results show transition bandwidth about 20% from 200GHz to 240GHz (S11 below -15dB, S21 below -0.2dB).
