Abstract :
The basic quadratic electro-optic (EO) characterization of Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-PbTiO3 (PMN-PT) transparent ceramics is measured. The EO response is relatively flat, which is a merit for optical communication. Piezoelectric resonance was found in this quadratic EO ceramic materials and it give rise to a deflection of half-wave voltage versus frequency of operation.
