Abstract :
We present a numerical method for calculating the eigenmodes of rectangular electrodynamic waveguide with a metal partition. Such devices appear in particular, in the high frequency radio technical systems as parts of polarizers. Due to the quite complicated geometry the calculating of eigenmodes of such devices needs a numerical approach. The proposed method is based on decomposition over the basis of eigenfunctions of a rectangle without partition, which is much more effective than direct diagonalization of a transversal Helmholtz operator.
