  • Abstract
In recent years, the environment has deteriorated and the sandstorm has been serious around Beijing regions, so monitoring vegetation change in Beijing and Tianjin sandstorm source control area is very important. The vegetation change of Beijing and Tianjin sandstorm source control area in 2008 was studied using MOD13Q1 NDVI data. The results have shown that the low coverage vegetation mainly grew in northern grassland desertification control area and the high coverage vegetation mainly concentrated in Yanshan mountain foothills water conservation area. The overall gravity of vegetation was inclined to Yanshan mountain foothills water conservation area by analyzing overall gravity of vegetation in the project area, and this was identical with the spatial distribution of vegetation coverage.
