Abstract :
In this contribution a simple slot configuration is proposed for increasing the impedance bandwidth of conventional microstrip-fed slot with a very simple, compact and easy-to-design structure. The bandwidth enhancement lies on the reactance duality of the slot and its complementary stub. An analysis of the structure resulting impedance is presented based on simulation results and its extracted equivalent circuit. The proposed structure can achieve a good impedance matching in a broad frequency band, which can be applied in arrays of slots antennas.
