Abstract :
The definition of standardized performance metrics for MIMO enabled mobile terminals which are suitable for certification and Over-The-Air (OTA) performance test of commercial User Equipment (UE) has become an important issue in connection with the introduction of Long Term Evolution (LTE). Statistical metrics, related to outage probabilities observed in sets of simple, easily reproducible OTA test scenarios are proposed and analyzed in this paper. The discussion is supported by measurement results and simulations.
