  • Abstract
The following contribution focuses on analysis of RCS reduction provided by combination of PEC-AMC and AMC-AMC structures. The discussion is based on the effect of the reflection coefficient amplitude and phase of the combined structures on RCS reduction. Aiming these, three prototypes are manufactured: PEC-AMC, AMC-AMC with overlapped AMC operation bandwidths and AMC-AMC with non-overlapped AMC operation bandwidth. A spherical range RCS measurements setup in anechoic chamber has been used for prototypes characterization. From experimental results larger RCS reduction is obtained when combining two AMCs with similar reflection coefficient amplitude which AMC operation bandwidths overlap, even if 180°-phasehift is not achieved.
