Abstract :
Applications like imaging or broadband communication systems increased the need for reconfigurable antenna arrays during the last years. Tunable phase shifters are key components in those systems. In this paper a tunable phase shifter in antipodal finline technology using Liquid Crystals (LC) to achieve an electrical tunability is presented. This phase shifter can easily be implemented in various antenna array concepts based on broadband Vivaldi antennas.
