Abstract :
We propose an evaluation of the surface propagation channel in airport environments by using a ray tracing (RT) technique. In particular, the spreading function (SF) is derived based on a ray tracing estimation of the delay, the Doppler shift and the power of each single ray. The Doppler shift is computed starting from its spatial definition, avoiding the use of the Fourier Transform technique. This approach is verified by a measurements campaign at 5.2GHz performed at Munich airport.
