Abstract :
It is expected that MIMO and CoMP technologies will be able to improve user throughput at the cell edge and indeed the whole cell. Since the performance of these technologies greatly depends on the spatial, polarized and cross-polarized correlation characteristics, it is important to analyze them in sufficient detail. This paper clarifies these correlation characteristics for single-BS MIMO and multi-BS cooperative MIMO based on measured data in outdoor NLOS environments.
