Abstract :
A novel technique for adding simultaneously extra band and notches to a compact ultrawideband (UWB) printed slot antenna is proposed. The UWB slot antenna is in the shape of an eight-sided polygon. The notched band are centered at 5.8 GHz WLAN and 3.5 GHz WiMAX bands and the extra band is located at 2.4 GHz Bluetooth band. The proposed antenna has a compact size, 23 × 28 mm2, stable radiation pattern and VSWR <; 2 over the whole of the passband frequencies.
