Abstract
In this paper, a novel antenna array with UWB properties is presented. A slot antenna backed with a metallic cavity is used as elementary cell to provide a low profile and directive linear array antenna. Its transient characteristics are obtained from time domain measurement setup and both time and frequency domain characteristics are calculated and discussed. This antenna, including the power divider, exhibits a bandwidth covering the FCC band for a V SWR <;2 and a gain >; 5dBi. Low distortion behavior is highlighted by the analysis of the fidelity factor which points out the linearity of the transfer function.
