Abstract :
This article describes a measurement campaign performed by a real-time UWB MIMO channel sounder and an analysis of measured date aimed at localisation applications in the automotive scenario. Measurements were done in the 3.5 GHz -10.5 GHz frequency band in different antenna constellations and propagation environments. Basic statistical analyses offer better insight into the measured radio channel and describe impulse responses in terms of the delay spread and the minimum dynamic range. Selected application examples demonstrate the performance of active and passive localisation algorithms in the automotive scenario.
