Abstract :
In this paper, an end-fire high gain 60-GHz antenna is investigated. Printed onto an RO4003 substrate, the proposed antipodal Fermi antenna with an overall size of 9×25×0.203 mm3 exhibits desired performance: the measured |S11| of less than -15 dB and gain of 15.6-17.2 dBi over the frequency range from 55-67 GHz. At 60 GHz, end-fire radiation is achieved with the half-power beamwidths of 18° and 24° in E- and H-planes respectively.
