Abstract :
This paper reports a post-wall waveguide aperture antenna with directors for the mobile terminal of the wireless file-transfer system using 60-GHz band. The antenna was fabricated using a conventional multilayered printed-circuit board process technique. The fabricated antenna has two directors and its size is 8.7 mm × 6.4 mm × 1.0 mm. The antenna gain was measured to be 6 dBi in the frequency range of 58 - 68 GHz and the beamwidth in the E- and H-plane at 60 GHz were 60 degrees and 30 degrees, respectively. The antenna-package with the size of 18.0 mm ×14.4 mm × 1.0 mm was designed, which has two antennas for the transmitter (Tx) and the receiver (Rx).
