Abstract :
In this paper two different feeding schemes for a 60 GHz, 2×1 LTCC-filled cavity antenna array on DuPont 9k7 substrate are investigated, to allow the measurement of the antenna prototypes. The first option includes a microstrip-to-rectangular waveguide interface, for measurements using a WR-15 waveguide. The second prototype features a microstrip line interface and can be measured using a common GSG-probe. The effects of the manufacturing tolerances and of the substrate losses are discussed. Simulation and measurement results of the reflection coefficients for both antennas, as well as radiation patterns are also presented.
