Abstract :
The accurate complex reflected electric field by an inhomogeneous single building facade is compared to the one obtained by a homogenization technique in different diffraction zones. The validity domain of the technique is verified for the amplitude and the phase of the E field in normal and oblique incidences. Three multipath scenarios with two buildings are studied though an accurate calculation of the multipath reflections and two different homogenization approaches: the local homogenization of the illuminated zones and the global homogenization of the whole buildings.
