Abstract :
In this paper we propose a methodology for the estimate of the perturbations induced on the reflection coefficient of an antenna by the presence of a nearby reflector. The method is based on a decomposition of the overall problem into two sub-problems and on the generalized scattering matrix formalism. The coupling between the antenna and the scatterer is taken into account by using a network-based representation and a spherical wave expansion of both the field radiated and the field received by the antenna. Finally, the proposed method is validated by comparison with a standard full-wave solution.
