Abstract :
This paper presents two useful algorithms for efficient numerical simulations in design of large log-periodic array antennas by using commercial EM Solvers. Both algorithms take into account the finite size of large log-periodic array and make use of the periodicity to achieve faster numerical computations. The Eleven antenna is taken as an example to demonstrate the algorithms. Simulated and measured results are presented in the paper.
