Abstract :
This paper presents two dual-polarized dielectric resonator antenna concepts proposed for base station applications. The TE01 and TM01 modes generate monopole-like radiation patterns suitable for a ceiling mounted access point while the HE11 mode radiates at broadside, which is applicable for sector coverage. Measurements of scattering parameters, radiation patterns and efficiencies of both concepts are presented.
