Abstract
A miniature printed rectangular monopole UWB antenna with two notched bands was successfully designed, realized, and measured for UWB applications in telecommunications. By adding a rectangular resonant loop on the rear side of the substrate and two L-shaped slots on the ground plane, two bands, 5.725-5.830 GHz and 7.25-7.30 GHz, used for military applications were eliminated. Details on the design procedure and experimental results are presented and discussed.
