Abstract :
We introduce a holistic multimedia system approach for live television production and multipath-distribution. Mainly based upon open source tools it is designed for operating on standard PC hardware. It is scalable - from a low budget setup (a single laptop) up to sophisticated distributed setups consisting of several powerful servers. The different components are chosen to work in an All-IP-environment. We will give an overview on the system and describe the different components and its features. A short comparison with other systems in a practical use case is included.
