Abstract
GPS Navigation System is widely used for guiding the drivers to find the route from source to destination. Traffic jam, heavy rain, flood, parking shortage, car accident, striking, and construction are common problems for driver in Indonesia. If the system is able to provide information about route condition, the drivers may choose another better route. We propose a Navigation Information System (NIS) which is able to provide route condition information by taking benefit of shared sensor community. Shared sensor community is a community of freelance sensor data provider. This community can provide route condition information along with sensor installed by government institution or private company.
