Abstract :
Lifting scheme which is commended by JPEG 2000 is not only a fast algorithm of existing wavelet transforms, but also a tool to produce new wavelet transforms. For M-channels (M >; 2) wavelet transform, the poly-phase matrix can be factored into finite matrixes, and these matrixes can be regarded as the predict operators and update operators. According to the characteristic of the lifting scheme and M-channels (M >; 2) wavelet transform, the framework of the M-channels wavelet filters based on the lifting scheme are given in this paper. Any filters based on the lifting scheme are automatically satisfied with the exact reconstruction condition, the constructed predict filters are satisfied with N degree dual vanishing moments and the constructed update filters are satisfied with corresponding degree basal vanishing moments. And the simulation experiment is indicated that it is feasible in Image Processing.
