Abstract :
In this paper new arrays including three elements of Rectangular Dielectric Resonator Antenna (RDRA) fed by Dielectric Image Line (DIL) through a narrow slot is numerically investigated. For a single elements antenna maximum gain of 7.7 dB with a high level of backward radiation at 10 GHz is obtained. Techniques including adding sidewalls, adding reflector and using a metal box is performed to enhance antenna array gain and obtain low backward radiation. In case of using metal box, maximum gain of 11.5 dB with a maximum backward radiation of 22 dB is obtained.
