Abstract :
In this paper a simplified model of transformer has been used to model different radial deformation of the winding considering the effect of transformer tank. Ultra Wide Band (UWB) sensors has been used to detect the radial deformation of transformer. CST (Computer Simulation Technology) software has been used to model the proposed experimental setup. It has shown that the transformer winding radial deformation can be detected precisely although transformer tank effect has been considered.
